Indonesian coffee culture globally – a truly caffeinated culture

The fourth largest coffee producer and exporter, Indonesia, imparts a stupendous variety of coffee beans that captivated the global palate. Therefore, there at least 20 globally recognized Arabica specialty coffee such as Aceh Gayo, Toraja Coffee, due to its exorbitant quality. As a consequence, Indonesian coffee culture is spreading around the world due to the high-quality coffee beans that the country produces. Its unique specialty coffee beans are part of the increase the number of coffee shops which carry with them the authentic Indonesian coffee culture abroad. A country with various coffee cultures that represent each region of the archipelago formed its coffee culture from inexpensive coffee sachets in street stalls called Warungs. From there, the Indonesians’ love for coffee began and with it, its coffee culture was built. But how is that coffee culture being transferred to other countries?
Indonesian coffee culture is spreading globally through the Indonesian coffee shops that operate in other countries like Australia, USA and etc. Coffee shops that sell authentic Indonesian coffee abroad are the drivers who spread Indonesian coffee culture to the world. Indonesian coffee shops in operating in foreign countries offer an experience to its customers that showcases the “Indonesian way” of drinking coffee, which helps with the spread of Indonesian coffee culture to the world.
In addition, Indonesian coffee culture is also spreading through the exports of coffee beans that the country engages in with other countries, e.g. USA, Australia, Vietnam. Authentic Indonesian coffee beans carry with them the coffee culture that the country has. How? Well, Indonesian coffee beans contain the authenticity or the “Indonesian way” of planting, harvesting, roasting, which basically demonstrates how Indonesian coffee culture is. Moreover, the coffee beans are from different parts of Indonesia e.g. bali, Aceh, Sumatra, which represent the country as a whole, and as well as different cultures that each coffee beans brings.
